Your Vision + Your Purpose + Your Gifts + Your Desires = God’s Plan

Your Vision

Habakkuk 2:2
And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.

Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

God has given us all a vision, a dream a view into what his will is for our lives. We may have seen it years ago or yesterday, but we each have been privy to it and it is tucked deep into our heart…way down in our Spirit. It is there that he has hidden it for us to search the scriptures, pray, trust him and believe he has given the provision for it to come to pass.

Your Purpose

Ephesians 2:1
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

We were not put on earth merely to suck up air…really, we ALL have a purpose and it is to magnify and glorify the Lord. He is the author and finisher of our fate so he has divinely purposed that we all be here to give him praise and adoration for being the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords in our lives. It is incumbent for each of us to choose ye this day to serve him and fulfill our greater purpose which is to do our part to build the Kingdom of God. Glory Halleluiah!

Your Gifts

Romans 12:4-8
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

Your gifts are directly related to your purpose. God has given us all we need to fulfill his mighty works and to accomplish that which is our assignments while here on earth. He has given each of us mighty and powerful gifts, some obvious others yet to be revealed; yet all marvelous and wonderfully designed to be exhibited and used for such a season ordained by God.

Your Desire

Psalms 20:4
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

Psalms 37:4
Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Matthew 7:7
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Our desires are not always God desires, but when our desires line up with what God’s divine plan is for our lives, we have hit BINGO. It is at that time; all things come together and are working according to his purpose. The closer we are to him even the more our desires and his will are in concert. We must pray for our desires to mirror God’s will and for them to manifest as it is his will for us to prosper and have favor as we all aspire to become more like Jesus.

God’s Plan

Jeremiah 29:11-14
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. [b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Matthew 28:18
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Malachi 3:6
‘For I am the Lord, I do not change”

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Your Vision + Your Purpose + Your Gifts + Your Desires = God’s Plan. This is the divine formula. God shows (vision) us what our purpose is through our gifts. It is God’s desire that we all come to the realization that pleasing God is HIS only desire for us. He expects for us to follow his blueprint for our lives and not the detour laden hand written maps designed by satan which lead to the pits of hell. Once we align all that he has already given us, vision, purpose, gifts and YES, he has already given us the desires of our hearts which are aligned with his plan. Once we come to that realization and begin to walk in it, God’s Will for our lives is fulfilled. God is not going to make us do what he’s already shown us to do. We have to submit that beyond what we selfishly desire, plan and even have concocted, we will serve and do God’s will with the Joy of the Lord, accepting wholeheartedly his divine plan for our lives. Amen

My Daily Revolution

My daily revolution begins waking up every morning a black woman in America.  Thanking God first, but praying  that the day to day activities and achievements of my people are not in vain; That their contributions don’t go unnoticed because of stereotypical images viewed all too often in the media.

My daily revolution accelerates when the accomplishments of my people seemingly are   mostly acknowledged or recognized as laudable careers by our children only when a basketball or football jersey is worn.  Dropping a CD or debuting a music video garners the same amount of attention; but education, science and math scholars are few and far between.

My daily revolution is filled with watching a world, which I am in, publically castrate and demean a leader because of the color of his skin.  But whose leadership and policy I watch read and dissect in order to show him approved without bias.

My daily revolution involves viewing a people stagnate because of poverty, teen aged pregnancy and the lack of education. Viewing young people without respect for their elders, themselves, life or the lives of others; children growing up without both the male and yes female parent not in the home.

My daily revolution consists of backbiting, ruthless, liars and cheats.  People who don’t love each other and would much rather demean, maim and kill each other before they choose to walk in the Fruits of the Spirit (i.e. love, peace, kindness.)

My daily revolution is to uphold justice and fight against injustice wherever it is present in my path.  Stands up for the rights of those who are defenseless and use education and information as a means to spread power to the powerless and hope to the hopeless.

My daily revolution means that I hold up the blood stained banner that was passed on generations ago. That I open my mouth and speak truth where there are untruths, that I bring to the light that which is harmful and being hidden in the dark; that I plant seeds in all human kind regardless of race, socioeconomic background or their ability to give me back what I give to them.

My daily revolution motivates me to run on, encourages my journey and reminds me that the struggle continues, but that it’s not my revolution, but the revolution is the Lord's.

I Wish For You A Rainbow

I wish for you a rainbow glowing with love
I wish for you a rainbow sent from heaven above
A colorful, majestic, promise from God
Radiantly displaying His covenant with us all
Who could design something so perfect and rare?
None but the God we serve who is always here
Next time you see such a spectacular sight
Thank God for His magnificent powers of mercy and might
I wish for you a rainbow to remind you of His love
I wish for you a rainbow sent from heaven above

The Beauty of it All

You say to…I say too

You say potato I say potato (pa-tat-o)

We both agree to disagree

But the adage is still the same to some degree

We have our own thoughts, dreams and visions

But how we choose to say or act on them determines our provisions

Differences in race, up bringing, culture and gender come into play

Still we ignore the fact that we all have commonalities, so we say

So what is it we all believe?

That someday we all will be free?

You go your way and I’ll go mine

Meeting up in the medium , well that’ll be just fine

Silence

I’ve never been gifted in the art of keeping silent. Growing up, my mama used to say…”do you always have to speak your mind?” My reply was always the same, “yes.” A mentor in undergraduate school once said to me right in the middle of me making what I thought was a valid point, “you are too cut and dried.” Not only was I “cut and dried,” I was ignorant so much so that when the mentor walked away, I remember asking those around me, “what’s cut and dried?” I laugh now because I realize how green I was back then, but time, life and education has a way of catching up with your desire to speak truth intelligently as so moved by the Holy Spirit.

This gift was given from above and is a banner that I am not ashamed of adorning because it has made a difference in countless ways. I write about this gift as a badge of honor. Fearless to some, extreme to others, but no doubt a characteristic if honed produces fruit for generations to come. Ordained and order by God to speak against injustice and inequality; and for peace and love. One that at times is a lightening rod, but soft as a cloud if understood from whom the message is conveyed.

Where would the world be if people like Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Sojourner Truth and others had remained silent? Many think that silence is golden and can be, as Rosa Parks only spoke a few words, but her actions spoke louder than her words. As I meditate on silence as an option, I respect the ability to have the choice to speak out or act upon and I say let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable and pleasing unto you Oh Lord!

I miss you Edie...Happy Birthday!

It’s been seven months and it feels like yesterday. My heart is still broken because God took you away. In my heart I know you are in the Lord’s hands, and for you my dear, you deserve such a resting place. I long for our conversations, your guidance and prayers. I miss you telling me to not look at my problems, but to call one of my friends who needs encouraging. You always knew what God would want me to do. But you're not here anymore to tell me those things and I miss you so much.

My tears are a constant reminder of a love so true, so dear and so pure. I love you mommy and I wish you were still here with me. My faith has only grown stronger on each passing day. It has too as you were the greatest example of long suffering I’ll ever know. Your triumphs and trials were a blessing to so many and showed us how to remain strong through it all. Your heartaches and pains were vast and many, but you always remained in the admonition of God who comforted you.

You expressed and loved unconditionally and only wanted the best for not only your children but for everyone. I strive to have the faith, love and charity you exhibited throughout your lifetime.

You left behind many people who love, adore and prayed endlessly for you and who miss you greatly. The grief is unbearable sometimes, but we still continue as we know that we all will have to go someday, but pray that we too will be in heaven where you eternally rest.

I love you Edie, yearn for your guidance, but know for myself that God is my light and in him shall I trust. Happy Birthday, I miss you so much.

Failure

Does failure equal fear? Fear of not passing the test, fear of not measuring up, fear of not being who YOU and OTHERS think you should be? You fail for various reasons, but if experience doesn’t teach you how to succeed from each failure have your really failed successfully?

I believe that failure is a way of telling you, you can do better. You can make it if you try harder, faster, wiser and with more effort. Don’t allow your failures to get the best of you.

If you walk by faith and not by sight failure never gets into the game. There is not room for failure if you fill your Spirit with faith. No room for failure to nag, loom or be in your space. Failing is a healthy way of reminding you to stay on your toes. Keep your chin up and to watch out for the punch of failure that can knock you out for the count.

Don’t think too long or hard about how you will whip failure into success. Think and pray upon success as willed by God in all you do and failure will have no choice but to get thee behind you and take a back seat.

I AM

Without a shadow of a doubt there is a purpose for all of us. Finding what is good and acceptable in God sight is a task, but not for us to make up or to concoct. He is the maker of all things including me and I will rejoice in the fact that He made me! Trials, fails, successes and triumphs are what make me stronger each and every day. Following His principals are what makes me realize just how precious I am in his sight. Were it not so, he would have told me. But what He’s revealed to me is so special and anointed I must keep to myself until the appointed time.

I fear speaking of it because it will go against what his teachings have been to me all of these years. I dare not ask “why God why?” It is not my place to ask such a question, but my place to accept God’s Holy plan for my life.

I am who God says I am

I am not what others think of me

I am not what I think I should be

I am wonderfully made in the image of God

I am purposed to do God’s Will regardless of what I think

I am set apart to be a blessing at all times in the best of time and in the worst

I am special, divinely sent from the Father to do what He has me here to do at all times

I am going to fulfill His perfect and acceptable Will no matter what I see, hear, think or feel

I am living for I am His and He has made me for His own great and glorious plan here on this earth

I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM!

Falalalalalalala

Once upon a time there was you and me

Falalalalalalala

Happy, joyous, elated to be

Falalalalalalala

Singing, smiling, styling and profiling

Falalalalalalala

Ah to be or not to be, what to be, how to be, should we be?

Falalalalalalala

The future lies in the hands of the beholder, but our desires are to hold each other

Falalalalalalala

Should we be? He love me she loves me not; She love me, he loves me not’

Falalalalalalala

Two strangers passing in the night, where opposites attract, but like magnets that are forced together;

Falalalalalalala

Sign sealed delivered I’m yours!
